Simon the Persecuted and his «Book on the Union»: A Review of the Manuscript Heritage. Notes Preceding the Critical Edition

Abstract
The publication provides a comparative description of the surviving manuscripts of the «Book on the Union», a detailed contents of the written monument with the translation of the titles into Russian, draws conclusions about the completeness of the reproduction of the original text in the available manuscript sources, as well as the dependence of two later copies, including B. L. Or. 9379, on the same protograph. B. L. Or. 9379 is being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time: a detailed description of the manuscript, the Syriac text of the colophon and its translation are offered.
